ChatGPT responses can empower the new generation if used as a strong starting point. But, If the ChatGPT response will be used to escape a situation only, then it is worse than giving a hungry man a fish to eat because it will generate a superficial generation that can say or appear to know a lot but can do nothing.

In this chat we came closer to understanding ChatGPT as one of the disrupting technologies that may change how we work and study. We explained what is ChatGPT and how it looks when compared to search engines. Also, we used the choice paradox to explain some psychological backgrounds

To level up our consciousness through expanding our awareness we need simple explanations for the new terms in our new world. So, what is a chatbot? And, How we can use it for maintenance easily? Also, Which type of chatbot would serve maintenance better.

This article was inspired by the panel discussion at METEC 2023 about Industry 4.0 application. The panelists were from Gerdau Industry 4.0 Team and Primetals Technologies. We also showed the results of Gerdau Digital transformation as seen by their strategic partner, GE Digital.

All what we have is whatever available for us to do or ask about in this here and now moment. It is not important how big is what we are doing here and now but surely it is on the track to what we want.

We are demystifying the cross linked needs of AR setup in this series of “The Future of Maintenance”. In other words , How to be ready for applying AR when it knocks our doors in maintenance?

Let’s go through the elements that can make AR application in maintenance possible. So, when someone offers you an AR tool you know what you will be looking for. Optical Recognition will be our starting point. It is simply how the AR sees the world around it.

The future of maintenance is full of new technological tools as the Augmented Reality. This will support, improve and evolve how we do maintenance. That’s not a daydream or a hope, it is already applied. So it is a matter of time to be available for you.

When the AI Agent senses its environment as the gameboard or the user preferences it can infer new equations representing this new status. The next action or recommendation will be based on the previous equations it built. Let’s see examples about it.

The key to reach to this balance point quickly and make full use of AI in maintenance is to perceive AI correctly. Creating correct perceptions about AI needs understanding what is the AI? How it works? and its real capabilities and potential.

We tried to bring the AI or Artificial Intelligence closer to our minds. If you can understand the intensions and thinking methodology of any human, you will be better in dealing with him/her. This applies also for AI. If you managed to understand the intentions of the AI -Artificial Intelligence and how its rational model works. You will accept it, use it for your own good and, even improve it to be a real ally or a perfect helping hand.

It is important to understand what is AI -Artificial Intelligence- in details because it is currently part of our work and life even if we don’t realize this.

Whether Industry 4.0 or Industry 5.0 is the current industry trend both of them relies on the Intelligence of the machines. An Intelligent machine can sense its environment, take a decision and apply an action or give a recommendation. How this can transform maintenance?

Historically maintenance evolves as industry evolves. With every Industrial Revolution, Maintenance tools and strategies grow to provide the needed service for this industrial era. Now what shall we do with the Augmented reality and other technologies Industry 4.0 introduce in the production environment??!

In maintenance we practice visualization often when planning. We draw a whole process and draft a huge set of preparations out of our expectation for the end result. To draw the maintenance future we need to draw what we dream about the end result then we plan the Agile steps to reach there. Let’s follow on.

These are propping questions that will sprout many possibilities and hidden gems or problems that we would never known about if we didn’t have a hope followed by an intention to make this target come true in the nearby future

Finally we explain how and why we need to reach an Agile Maintenance Process and an Agile Maintenance Team which has an Agile Mentality through the 8 steps needed to reach there.

Self-Reform leads to improved effectiveness in our maintenance tasks including improved communication, responsiveness & flexibility and better response to sudden requests while maintaining excellence in every part of the maintenance task. This leads to an Agile Maintenance Process and Team.

A maintenance process that encompasses technical excellence in all of its elements and is reliable will be responsive, flexible and adding a value to its customers and stakeholders. That’s an Agile process.
